The findings are as follows. First, the words in the subtitles of Tora-san cover a narrower range than the textbooks; therefore, learners do not have to memorize wider range of vocabulary. Second, the words in the movie mainly consist of GSL1 and 2 levels and contain much fewer difficult words, thus, students should chiefly study rather easier words.
