In this course, students reconsidered their own perspectives on topics of gender, including feminism, gender bias, LGBT people, and HIV by discussing the rock musical, Rent. In consequence, they came to notice the prejudice of the people of U.S.A. in the late 1980s toward HIV-positive people, and further, to know the significance of embracing multiplicity of perspectives, such as gay or transgender.
